Is it true that the only way to stop loving someone the wrong way is to start hating them? Maybe only then can you learn to love them all over again, the right way. But surely there is a higher path. The narrow and windy road contains not a moment of hatred on it. But it is narrow indeed.

'Crimes of the Heart' - Immortal Technique
These are my indictments To those who claim to be righteous, And leave a trail of broken hearts on their way to enlightenment. But I cant give into hatred or pass judgment, Even towards every illusion I’ve been in love with. ‘Cause the heart that betrays itself willingly Is like a nation that trades freedom for stability. Its so seductive to be cold and corrupted and isolated, trying...

What is it to be free? It is a question of who’s in control. The World thinks that we will be free when we’re the ones with autonomous self-governance. But the Bible teaches that to be controlled by our self is to be in slavery, and to give control over to God is freedom.

No such thing.
There is no such thing as a holy man that doesn’t extend compassion to the hurting and the broken. No such thing as a holy man that holds grudges. No such thing as a holy man who does not love all impartially and unconditionally. No such thing as a holy man who stands idly by in the presence of corruption and malice. No such thing as a holy man that seeks his own fame and glory. No such...

Emeli Sande - My Kind Of Love
Cause when you’ve given up, When no matter what you do it’s never good enough, When you never thought that it could ever get this tough, That’s when you feel my kind of love. . And when you’re crying out, When you’ve fallen and can’t pick your happy off the ground, When the friends you thought you had haven’t stuck around, That’s when you...

The word of God draws people closer to God, and consequently closer to each other, and consequently again, closer to God. All of Christian ministry is the practice of making people friends with God, and friends with each other.

Stations on the Road to Freedom
Suffering A change has come indeed. Your hands, so strong and active, are bound; in helplessness now you see your action is ended; you sigh in relief, your cause committing to stronger hands; so now you may rest contented. Only for one blissful moment could you draw near to touch freedom; then, that it might be perfected in glory, you gave it to God. - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Scientism
…is the view that scientific knowledge is the only valid kind of knowledge. Scientism can only be argued for with a philosophical argument; Scientism is a philosophical viewpoint. Therefore Scientism entails the validity of philosophical knowledge. Therefore Scientism entails its own negation.

Psalm 77
I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me. In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted. When I remember God, I moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints. Selah You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. I consider the days of old, the years long ago. I said, Let me...

Prayer of St Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love. For it is in...

Where is God's love?
Sometimes you come to a point in life where, unlike other times, you truly struggle to see evidence that God is at work in your life. You go through a season that really doesn’t make sense, where things truly go wrong, and everything is in chaos and ruins. You pray for certain things to happen and they don’t come to pass; you ask God to defeat obstacles, but instead more obstacles...

“Let us remember that when we talk of the rending of the veil we are speaking in a figure, and the thought of it is poetical, almost pleasant, but in actuality there is nothing pleasant about it. In human experience that veil is made of living spiritual tissue; it is composed of the sentient, quivering stuff of which our whole being consists, and to touch it is to touch us where we feel...
